| How It Works And How To Get A Game |

How The Games Work
The games are organised from a mailing list. I send emails out about the games around a week in advance and the first 10 people to reply and say they want to play get a place. You can only book one place per email. If you want your friends to play they'll need to be registered on the mailing list too. Let me break it down for you:
Step 1: I send out an email to everyone on the mailing list, saying, for example, that there are two games this coming Thursday evening.
Step 2: If you want to play, then simply email and say, "I want to play."!
Step 3: I'll then email you personally and confirm if you have a place or not, as well as the exact time of the game and any other relevant info.
Step 4: When the games are full, I'll email a confirmation to everyone in the game to make sure everyone knows the correct time and place.

How To Get A Game
Firstly you need to be on the mailing list. If you want to join simply email me at steveashworth@internationalsociety.org.uk.
Secondly you need to respond quickly to the emails when they come as games often sell out very quickly.
Thirdly, you need to make sure that you turn up, on time, for every game that you play. Players who are reliable will get chosen to play over players who are not!

If You Can't Make A Game
If you book a place in a game but then find that you can't make it for some reason, you will need to email me as soon as possible to let me know. There are usually people who will happily take your place. You will need to give me 24 hours notice to try and find someone else. People who don't show spoil the game for the other nine players who do turn up and remember: all you ever need to do is send me an email. It's not rocket science. |

If You Don't Show Up
If you don't show up for a game and don't give me 24 hours notice you will be given a YELLOW CARD.
You will then be temporarily removed from the mailing list.
To be put back on the mailing list you will need to pay your fee for that game [£3] as the Society will have lost that money.
If you don't show up for a game for a second time you will then be given a RED CARD.
You will then be permanently removed from the mailing list. |
