Volunteer To Teach A Class
The International Society has up to 70 volunteer teachers working here at any one time. Often teachers teach here for many, many years!

• Practice and improve your teaching skills in a friendly and informal environment.
• Add something special to your CV.
• Counts towards MLP

All the International Society classes are taught by volunteers. The majority of the teachers are students at the Universities in Greater Manchester who want to share something of their culture and language and get some teaching experience. Some are teachers who are recently qualified and are looking for some practical experience.

In return for teaching a class at the Society you can attend one other class for free [for each class that you teach] and can also get one free lunch per week in the Small World Cafe [for every class that you teach]. In addition, there is a teachers party once per term where you can meet the other teachers, share experiences and have some fun! Often we run teacher training sessions and feedback sessions.

If you are interested in teaching a class or would like to find out more then you can email Steve on steveashworth@internationalsociety.org.uk or phone him on +44 (0)161 275 7697. We recruit new teachers around a month before the beginning of each term, usually in January, May and September.

The International Society currently has 6925 members (6300 last year)
