Projects Each year the International Society runs a variety of interesting cultural projects that you may be interested in getting involved in and volunteering for. For more information please contact Sam Harris on: samharris@internationalsociety.org.uk. - Click here for the International 16 website - Click here for the RocketWorld website |
| RocketWorld RocketWorld is an intercultural learning adventure for 7-11 year olds. Those brave enough to face the challenge are required to launch their clean energy rockets on mission impossible. The earth is unhappy with the way people are treating each other and has stopped spinning. The young astronauts will only succeed if they are able to carry peace and friendship to the different countries they visit and set the world spinning again. RocketWorld includes volunteers from all over the planet and the world’s largest touring EarthBall. It can be booked for schools, events or festivals. The group of volunteers meet at the International Society at 8.00am and return from their mission by 4.30pm - so you will need to be available for most of the day if you are interested in taking part. Transport and lunch are provided for all volunteers. The majority of international volunteers are international students but we have also had many volunteers from different ethnic community groups in the city. |
