![]() ![]() |
About The Classes Iyengar Yoga is practised around the world and is suitable for everyone. Yoga asanas or postures are well known for their precision and attention to detail and alignment. A variety of props are used to help each individual work to their own level, whether flexible or stiff, young or old. As a holistic approach, yoga benefits both mind and body. It improves posture, flexibility, strength and muscle tone, and also brings a sense of calmness to daily life. Everyone is welcome even if you have never done yoga before. Equipment is provided but you can bring your own mat if you prefer. - It is best not to eat 2-3 hours before a class. - Wear comfortable clothing such as leggings, shorts and a t-shirt. We practise with bare feet, but have socks and something warm to put on for the relaxation at the end. About Lindsay Lindsay Shaw is a certified Iyengar Yoga teacher.
